Math on Cue

For parents

See which facts come quickly, and which still take work.

Each child practices under their own nickname. You see their progress in one parent space, which you can lock with a PIN on shared devices.

What “fluent” means

A fact counts as fluent when your child’s two most recent answers to it were correct, each within about three seconds, on two different days. Fluent facts drift back to “practicing” if they haven’t come up for a couple of months.

Why quick matters, not just right

Accuracy alone can hide which facts are slow. An untimed worksheet doesn’t always show whether a child recalls a fact or works it out. Math on Cue notes answer times quietly, without a clock on screen.

Reading progress

A few things worth knowing.

Mixed practice can look messier while it’s happening.

In one study, children who mixed problem types made more mistakes during practice, but did better on a test the next day. A few extra misses early on aren’t a sign that something is wrong.

Watching progress over time can help.

School practice guides suggest children chart their own progress. In Math on Cue, progress is private to your family. There are no leaderboards.

Progress in the app measures practice. It isn’t a formal assessment, a diagnosis, or a prediction of school grades. If you’re worried about your child’s learning, talk to their teacher or another qualified professional.

Private by design.

We don’t need your child’s real name to help them practice math facts.

Math on Cue starts with a parent or guardian account. You confirm that you’re authorized to set up your children’s use, review how their information is handled, and complete the consent steps before practice begins.

Then each child gets a nickname and a simple avatar. Comet, Orbit, Acorn—something easy to remember that isn’t their real name. No child email or public profile.

Each child has separate learning progress. You manage the family in one place, with one subscription. Adding a sibling shouldn’t mean buying the whole product again.

You’ll be able to review and manage your children’s profiles in the parent space. The privacy notice explains the actual speech-processing and deletion rules.
